Set assignment.

Completed under supervised conditions in approximately four hours. Four tasks across the three learning outcomes. Practical tasks are filmed and learners must be clearly identifiable in the footage.

Task 4 was filmed in June 2026 against the live Jan 2027 paper. Task 2 evidence is gathered in lessons.

  • Two weeks of planning and practice writing, then the supervised sit.

Weeks 7–812 – 23 Oct Marking and planning
  • Students begin the Task 4 written plan from the June footage, then the Task 3 presentation.
  • Teachers mark Task 1, then the Task 4 plan.
  • INSET Fri 23 Oct.
  • Pearson entry deadline Fri 16 Oct, December/January series.

  • A learner below their expected level may be authorised one resubmission per assignment, within 15 working days and before marks go to Pearson. Feedback may only say which areas fell short, not how to improve them.

A teacher deck and a student booklet for each task. Year 11 finish the component this term; Year 10 start it in May and use the same packs.
